About Us

Since 1922, Disabled American Veterans Department of California has been serving veterans with unwavering dedication. Our story begins shortly after, as Chapter 5 emerged, proudly committing to over 100 years of veteran services in Los Angeles.

Driven by volunteers and fueled by community spirit, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 5 stands as a beacon of service. Join us on the 3rd Sunday of each month at the serene Japanese Garden in West LA VA, where our commitment to veterans comes to life.

We're proud initiators of the Youth Safety Initiative, creating secure spaces for youth at events across Southern California. Our mission is to set a new standard for public gatherings, putting safety and inclusivity at the forefront.

At DAV Chapter 5, community engagement and restoration are our focus. A testament to this commitment is our alcohol-free environment, promoting healing and unity among all participants.

Stay connected through our events page to explore engagement opportunities throughout Southern California. If you share our vision and wish to collaborate, reach out directly via our contact page. Together, let's continue to make a positive impact in the lives of veterans and their families.
